We would strongly recommend stopping smoking at least 6 weeks prior to surgery to modify risks of wound healing and infection in particular. Smoking could lead to a poor outcome of cosmetic surgery.

Our patients often benefit from multidisciplinary assessment including clinical psychology in order to improve their outcomes.

Cooling off period would be required in most instances aside from skin cancer surgery or therapeutic mammaplasty for breast cancer.
